All representation of timestamps or “datetime” types are encoded as ISO-8601 timestamps locked to the UTC timezone.

The API uses ISO-8601 to encode date and time information. This standard is supported by default within web browsers and the standard libraries of many programming languages. Locking timestamps to the UTC timezone removes ambiguity. ISO-8601-encoded timestamps returned by the API look like this:


The +00:00 indicates that the timezone offset of the timestamp is 00 hours, 00 minutes, which corresponds to UTC.
